boring

Filling out paper work is boring. I swear I signed and wrote my name like 25 times. Crazy! My first official day is on Friday. I don't think I'll ever have a set schedule. They just do random hours all the time. It's weird. Oh, well. It's not too bad. I get to go buy new clothes though! I don't have any white button up shirts, very many dress pants, or nice comfy shoes. All of which I need for their uniform. yay for shopping. Any suggestions where I can find said items for a reasonable price?

so...

I got a job! I can't believe they hired me! It's a part time sales position. I have to go in today to fill out all the paper work, then I should be starting asap. I called my mom and told her and she asked if I even knew how to do sales. I don't. It shouldn't be too bad I guess. meh now I'm nervous...

interview

I feel bad for posting angry blogs. I'll try to stop. (after this one)

So I had an interview today at Radio Shack. meh. It's a job. I need one. I hate interviews!! They are so pointless and I suck at them. We've all been trained to give the right answers. Basically tell them what they want to hear even if it's lying. Why not cut the b.s. and let me tell you that I'm a good worker, I know I can do the job, and well. Just hire me already. So anyway, the lady asked me six questions. The questions like "give a specific example of a time that you..." those type of questions. I am utterly horrible at answering those and coming up with any specific stories. I had to ask her to repeat questions, I mumbled and gave stupid answers.... I'm going to go watch some Grey's Anatomy and eat everything out of my fridge now.

I am livid!!

I made a goal to start taking Abbi on walks everyday. We both need it. So today Martin was sleeping and Puck howls if I leave him home while Abbi and I go anywhere without him. So being considerate of the husband I foolishly decided to take both of them. They don't know how to walk on their leashes. They pull the whole time. They were annoying most of the way but we get almost all the way home, and here comes this little tiny poodle looking thing out of a house across the street. Abbi and Puck are NOT socialized. The only dogs they know are the neighbor dogs that they bark at at the back fence. I pull the dogs back and stop hoping the stupid little dog would go back inside, well it comes across the street and stops about 5 feet away from my dogs, as I'm holding back their leashes and they are barking and growling at the ugly dog. The lady who's dog it is, comes out of the house but just had surgery on her foot and had a big boot on and crutches so couldn't do anything. I'm standing there with two leashes straining to stop my dogs, there was nothing I could do. Her next door neighbor heard the barking and came out and got the little dog back across the street. So I wait for a minute and then proceed on walking. Well here comes the little shit back across the street, and all the time they are yelling CUDDLES, CUDDLES, and my dogs are ready to eat it if it comes close enough. So Norma, the neighbor lady that is/was in my ward, comes back across the street to get the dog as I'm standing there holding both of my dogs and backed up into a rosebush she says. "I suggest you hurry" in a really nasty tone. They were the ones stupid enough not to hold the damn dog or take it back in the house so I could pass by and go home. ugh!

baby puppy videos

I found these videos and I thought I would share. There are four but they are all pretty short. If you are only going to watch one, watch the last one it's the best.

1-I like the song Samantha is singing in this first video. I still sing it to the dogs now. Seriously. I do. "Puck and Ab-b-i, abbi abbi abbi..."

2- This one is short.

3-Puck is so mean!! Their noises are funny though.

4-This is my favorite of the four. It makes me laugh every time! Harli is the one talking in most of the video.

Harli-"Gulp, can someone hold me? Gulp, I think I'm going to throw up"

Harli-"Mother let me hold Abbi."

Gayla-"No, just leave Abbi alone"

Harli-"She's gonna get hurt"

Gayla-"She's ok, they are just playing"

Harli-"Oh, are not!"

Sam-"...they are not."

Two other entries today. Keep going.

competitive corn consuming contest...

I had dinner over at my mom's the other night and Jason, Nathan, Gayla, and Allie had a corn eating contest.

Ready, Set, Go!

Allie

Gayla

Nathan

...and the winner is...JASON!

The time before this was between Nathan, Allie and Gayla and Nathan won by a lot!! It was pretty funny. I didn't think to video it though...maybe next time!

bedtime

Puck hates going to bed. This is what happens every night.

new pool

I just bought Abbi a new blow up pool. Mostly she just drinks from it. Puck hates it and doesn't want anything to do with it. She's already put a hole in the bottom ring. She tried to eat the part where you blow it up.
Enjoy the pictures!

I just figured out how to put videos on here. I love this one! I don't know what she was doing though. Also, I hate the way I sound on recordings, so ignore that.

Two blogs today, keep reading.

poor puppies

The dogs have had a ruff week this week. Me being dumb I tried a new soft dog food for them and Abbi has had issues with it. So I stayed up basically all night Wednesday night taking her outside to go to the bathroom about every hour. Puck had an ear infection that I took him to the vet for and they gave him a shot for the swelling. Well that night (Wednesday) we had been out and when we got home let the dogs outside. When Puck came back in I noticed his face was all swollen.

Here is a normal picture of Puck so you can see the difference

I freaked out and Martin called the local animal hospital. I thought it was an allergic reaction to the shot he got at the vet and luckily we had some dog benadryl that the animal hospital told us we could give him. We watched him for the next hour and his face had started to go down. So I was up all that night with Abbi, and Seth woke Puck up around 7:00am. He was acting really funny, running around the yard and rolling everywhere, and sometimes his legs would twitch. Then I noticed his fur was all bumpy and was sticking up everywhere. I had Seth come take a look. It looked like hives all over his body. I was so worried about him. He didn't want to be around anyone and would flinch when you touched him. It started to look better around 8, so Seth waited to take him into the vet until 10. The Vet said he must have been stung by a bee and gone into anaphylactic shock. He also said if he hadn't have gotten the steroid shot and the benadryl, things would have been a lot worse. Poor puppies!!!

at last

It really has taken me this long to get all my pictures together and on to the computer. Sorry. We left for St. George Thursday at around 6:00pm and got there around 10:30. We stayed at Hampton Inn. The hotel was amazing! We had adjoining rooms so we were all pretty much together. There was an indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub. The best part about the rooms were the BEDS!! The pillows were so fluffy and they had duvet covers. Mmm it was really comfy.

Friday morning, Mom, Ruth and Grandma got up and went to the Temple while the four of us girls went swimming. Sara was our water aerobics instructor. I am SO not coordinated enough for water aerobics! It was amusing though! After the moms got back we went to the outlets. We all found really good deals and cute clothes. For lunch I wanted to go to Paula's which is a fantastic Mexican restaurant that Mom, Grandma and I went to back in March. Last time we had these amazing virgin daiquiris that we've been craving ever since. Well we all ordered them when we got there, but their slushy machine was broken, so the waitress asked if we wanted anything else to drink, and we were all bummed but ordered other drinks. We all understood that it wasn't the waitress' fault, but Grandma said "I'll just have a water.......and I'll cry into it." We all just about died! Oh, Grandma.

After lunch we went shopping again until it was time to go to the play. Cinderella was the first night. It was really good. Very cheesy, but me being the sap I am, was sighing and feeling all warm and fuzzy. Melissa was giving me some funny looks.
The backdrop of the red rock cliffs was just gorgeous. They really had a carriage pulled by two white horses that went across the stage and everything. I loved every minute.
Saturday we did more swimming and more shopping. For dinner Grandma wanted to go to The Pizza Factory. There was a English telephone box across the parking lot from it so I had to take a picture for Martin.

Random restaurant picture.
My sister and the bread sticks.

We went back to the hotel and changed and then went to Tuacahn to see My Fair Lady. I wanted to get pictures in front of the Tuacahn fountain and it was by this big grassy area so Sara, Gayla and I took off our shoes and "frolicked" in the grass. Here are our silly pictures.

The stage set for My Fair Lady.

Us at intermission. I absolutely loved My Fair Lady. Going down there I was more excited to see Cinderella, but I was blown away by My Fair Lady. The acting and the singing...Eliza and Alfie Dolittle were just fantastic.

After the play we went back to the hotel and did warming face masks.

and my favorite: How many people can you fit into a self-held-camera-shot. I look horrible, but it's just too funny.
