St. George

Martin and I decided that it was time to getaway for a couple days, so we packed up and headed to St. George. My grandparents lived in St. George when I was younger, and we would go visit them every Easter. I love going back and reliving some of my childhood memories. We got a really nice hotel room (the honeymoon suite) with a jetted tub and everything. It was amazing.
We forgot the digital camera's memory card and had to go get a disposable camera, and this is the only picture of the hotel room that I'm happy with.
We didn't have a whole lot pre-planned, so we just made it up as we went along and went to the dinosaur tracks museum. They found the tracks in 2001, and I went to see them when they just had them under an awning, but they got government funds and built this over the top of some of the dino tracks.

It's all pretty interesting
We drove around a lot down there trying to find things to do, and we found our way up to "The Dixie Rock." It was about 60 degrees outside so we "hiked" up to it. This is a picture taken out over the valley.
Martin under the Dixie Rock, and this is why we have a digital camera. (because I can't take pictures for anything)

Me posing under the Dixie Rock.
Those are pretty much the only pictures that turned out from our disposable camera. Martin surprised me with tickets to go to St. George Musical Theater to see Beau Jest. I'd never heard of it before, but I liked it a lot. We were going to come home after the play, but I didn't like the idea of driving all the way home so late, so we got to stay an extra night.

England

So it's 2:30 in the morning...and I don't feel like sleeping. I have to be up at 7:30 to watch Samantha tomorrow, but oh well. So we might be pushing our trip to England back by a couple weeks. I realized that I have NO idea where my passport is..and even if I did, I would need to change my name on the passport. Getting a new passport takes like 6-12 weeks so I need to get that started before we can by tickets. BUT, I found a great deal on tickets that I'm way excited about. So as soon as I found out how long it's going to take for my passport we can have a date set for when we are going.

I'm very excited though, when I was looking at ticket prices today, I was remembering back to when I went to England the first time and how great it was. Even just traveling with Martin was so exciting and romantic. I wish I could find my cd that has pictures of england that I could post. It was such a great experience going there. That's the only time I have ever been out of the country, I haven't even been to Mexico or Canada, and I've always been in love with England. The whole castles and princes and princesses thing. When I was in 6th grade I did a report on England. I think I should find it and show Martin to see what he thinks.

Midnight Blog

It's been too long since I blogged. First of all, for The New Year we spent it watching movies with the brother. Not so exciting, but it was nice. I'm planning on quitting my job at the end of the month and going back to school for Dental Assisting. I only have about 6 to 8 months left if I work hard. I'm a little nervous because I'm not sure if it's really what I want to do and if I'm going to like it, but it's got to be better then where I'm at now. I'll only be going to school three days a week and watching Samantha two days a week, so I can still bring in a little money.

Martin and I are planning on going to England at the end of February over our anniversary. I'm super excited!! Martin hasn't been there in over two years, and he's excited to be seeing his family and friends again. We are even planning to make a little side trip to Germany for a few days to see the area where he was born and his mom's family who lives there. I'm excited to see that part of his past.
