look

Here are the invitations for my party. I think they turned out pretty cute.

super-purple-hair-girl

I was bored today and didn't really have anything better to do than to dye my hair.

I really like it. Martin got home from work just as I finished styling my hair. His reaction was pretty funny "What did you do?!?!" Then he just kept saying, "It's purple......" He say's he just has to get used to it.

I used a different brand than last time I dyed it purple. This one is much more vibrant. I still love it though.

format

Trying a new format here (well copying really)

1-Work is good. It makes me tired. I worked 8 hours straight yesterday with no lunch and only a five minute break. I went from sitting on my butt doing nothing all day to 8 hours standing on my feet. The new store I'm working at is slower than the one I trained at, which is good and bad.

2- Grey's Anatomy starts up again in a little over a month, and the day before my b-day! I think I'm going to have a Grey's Anatomy themed party. Maybe I'll have everyone come in scrubs. Any other ideas?

3-I'm probably going to start going back to church here within the next couple weeks. A friend that I was in Young Womens with just graduated high school and is in Relief Society now, so I would have someone to go with.

4-Martin got a new gaming console. (rolls eyes) It's not so bad, but we've owned almost every gaming console out there and sold it a couple months later. (i.e. Play Station 2, X-box, PSP, Wii) He gets bored of games easily. He says he's in love with it though and won't get rid of this one. We'll see. In the meantime, I'm loving it. I'm addicted to Feeding Frenzy. I think Laura had it on her computer and I played it on there like 2 years ago. (has it really been that long?)

5-We are apartment hunting again. (still, but more often now) It would be so nice to be independent again. It's not bad living here. I like most everything about it. It would just be nice to be in independent is all.

6-I have yet to find a toy for the dogs that they don't destroy. The Kong has lasted, but they aren't too interested in it if there isn't food in there, and Abbi's a bit on the chubby side anyway. No more treats for her. And even if a toy isn't edible, if she can rip it apart, she eats it. It's very frustrating!

7-This makes me giggle.

8-There isn't enough going on in my life to make it to 10. Sorry.

i want babies again...

....and with that discovery, I've realized something else. I've been in a rut. For a while now. Mostly because I haven't been working and I wasn't accomplishing anything. I've been so depressed, and that is why I have been so adamant about not wanting kids. Now that I'm working again, and feeling good about myself things are returning to "normal." I look at babies and sigh and think they are cute, instead of thinking they are crying monsters. Now that doesn't mean that I want them right now, I'm just saying the idea of having one isn't so repulsive anymore.

accomplished

Yesterday was my first day at Radio Shack. It was kind of boring and pretty overwhelming. I was exhausted, and dreading going back again today, but it turned out better than I thought. I actually got to ring up two customers, something I've never ever done before. I also answered the phone twice. I was flustered the first time because my manager just kinda threw the phone at me and said "answer it" so I said "This is Radio Shack (pause) This is Staci, how can I help you." I felt stupid, but the second time I answered I did really well. I need to get to know the store a little better, I attempted to help a customer because everyone else was busy, and I didn't know anything. I sounded dumb, but my manager came back and rescued me. Didn't get a sale out of it though, oh well. My manager commented on how quiet I was. I'm not that quiet once I get to know people though. I don't think so at least. I really like my manager and the girl that I have worked with so far.
The thing I have missed most while I haven't been working is the feeling I get walking out of work. I have to fight the urge to giggle because I'm so excited to be done for the day and going home. Isn't that weird? I feel so accomplished for working all day and relieved that I get to go home.

nervous

I am so nervous about my first day. Any time I think about it, it makes me sick to my stomach. I think my biggest fear in life is failure. Sometimes I would rather sit and stagnate and do nothing than to try at something and fail. Sad huh? That's why I dropped out of my AP (advanced placement) class in high school after the first term. Anyway...

I went shopping for work clothes today. It was so hard to find just a normal long or short sleeve button up shirt. They had lots of 3/4 length shirts, but I'm not sure if I can wear those. I don't think so, but I need to ask. I finally found one at the third store I went to, but it makes me look like a boy :( My shoes look like boy shoes too. Martin actually had some that looked a lot like it, but they are SO comfy that I don't care.

I'm going to have to always wear my hair down, and wear earrings or something to 'girly' me up.

I think with my first paycheck I want to buy these... ...and wear them with some cute khakis. They're super cute shoes! Plus they are girly! I love them.
