Good and Evil

I was playing around with the photoshop on Martin's Mac and made these. I think they are pretty cool.

Chili Party

The Chili Party was super fun. I think I was one of the only adults dressed up. I felt pretty dumb, but oh well. Here's a picture of my costume. I look funny, but it's the only decent picture where you can see my vampire teeth, and my choker. (keep in mind that this was after the party and my hair was flat.)
Here's a picture of my purple hair and makeup detail.
In other and more random news Martin and I drove up to Logan just for the fun of it today. Look what I found at the gas station. HUGE smarties! I love them.

drawing blood

Stupid title I know, but I'm running on empty here. This is a drawing of what I want my costume to be. My interpretation of sexy vampire, on little to no money. I have a shirt that will work, and the duster. (Is that what they are called? I don't have a better word for it. Again empty.) I need to find a skirt. I'd like a floor length one, but if I can't find it do you think a tea length skirt would work? I'm also (hopefully) buying vampire fangs. Super excited about that.
Since I have to (get to) dress up for work four days next week, I have a couple costumes I'll be wearing. I think I'll wear my Greek Goddess costume from last year again, but the hair, make-up, and accessories will be better planned out and executed this year. Then I think I might go in scrubs a couple days. Who wouldn't want to wear comfy scrubs to work?

This is Halloween

I'm so mad. I didn't get to bed last night (this morning) until 5am. I was in bed at 2 but I was tossing and turning. My mind just wouldn't stop. I was thinking of costume idea's. My family has our annual Chili Party (more details later) that we wear costumes and at work we can wear costumes from the 27th until the 2nd. I had all these fabulous ideas from just stuff I already have. My favorite was my vampire costume. With Martin as my victim. Wearing my cute black duster from when they were cool, over a black shirt, with a black skirt. Then do my hair all cool, find a choker, paint my nails red. Dark make-up. It's so not as cool in print as it was in my head...but anyway. I can't find my dang black skirt. I've had it since I was like 12, but don't ever wear it except for costume-y things. I don't remember getting rid of it. So frustrating. I've looked everywhere. Maybe I'll stop at the DI today or tomorrow, and see what I can find. Any other easy/inexpensive costume ideas? Anyone else have costume parties? What are you going to be for Halloween?

obsession

Isn't obsession a kind of perfume? Oh well. I'm pretty much obsessed with a lot of things right now.

Obsession 1: The Twilight series. I'm rereading Twilight. I can't believe I have to wait a whole year for the next book to come out. I'm not a patient person. *pouts*

Obsession 2: Vampires in general. I've always had a thing for Vampires and Twilight is just intensifying it. I just got the book Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice. I'm hoping that it's good, though I don't think anything can compare to Twilight. I'm also going to be watching Van Helsing and Underworld tomorrow. I wish Martin and I could be vampires for Halloween, but if we were to do it I would want to buy the really expensive vampire costumes. Like these...

but at $109 and $139 respectively, it's not going to happen. Maybe next year. (Wouldn't my husband look so freakin' hot in that costume? I think so. mmm)

Obsession 3: TV shows on ABC.
Dancing with the Stars: I watch everything the day after it airs on abc.com, I just found out that Floyd and Karina got kicked off this week. (YAY) I'm loving Sabrina Bryan, Mel B, Jennie Garth, and Marie Osmond. This is really a season for the girls. I think Sabrina will win. I don't really like any of the guys.
The Bachelor: This is the first time I've watched this series, and I can't get enough. I think it'll be between Deanna and Jenni in the end.
Pushing Daisies: This is a new series this year. I love it. The way it's done reminds me of Moulin Rouge, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy...and another movie, but I just can't put my finger on it right now. I really like it. It has the girl that played Glinda from Wicked on Broadway. Her voice is amazing. Love her.
and of course
Private Practice and Grey's Anatomy

Finished

I finished New Moon. It's 6:30am. I stayed up all night reading it. The last time I looked at the clock was 2:30, but I couldn't stop.

OMG!!

OMG!!!! Seriously! I just finished reading Twilight. I gave in. I read it. I love it! I've been wanting a good book to read lately so I thought I would read it. See what all the fuss was about. I got it last night at around 9, and didn't go to bed until 3:00am...I wanted to finish it then, but I couldn't keep my eyes open. So I read some at work and finished it at home tonight and I made Martin buy me the second one already. I feel a little silly because it's a book for teenage girls...and I'm a little old I guess, but I loved it anyway. I was at work today and a girl was there with her boyfriend and she was reading it while he browsed. I laughed. I wanted to scream and ask her where she was at in the book, but I'm a little shy.
