No time

I don't have much time, but I wanted to post quickly before I'm back at work. In the past three days I've worked 27 hours, and I'll have worked nine days without a day off. My only day off this week is Thanksgiving and then it's Black Friday and a 16 hour day. I'll have 50 hours in just this week alone, not counting the 11 hour day I had this last friday. (pay period starts over on Saturday.) Anyway it's SO crazy! Our new store is opening today. It's pretty exciting, but I'll be all by myself most of the day, so I'm really nervous. I'm hoping it won't be too busy, or the computers crash or something. I've been working a ton of hours, but it's been nice to feel important. Ashley (my manager) and I are the only people employed at our store right now, so I'm REALLY stressing about that for Black Friday. We should have someone starting today (crosses fingers) as long as all the paper work went through. Cutting it WAY too close.

In happier news, when I got home last night Martin had then bought Christmas decorations and decorated the whole house. It looks SOOO amazing. He says it looks like Christmas threw up in our house. I am just so thankful for his support. It's just the little random crazy things he does to surprise me that just makes all my other stresses and worries go away. I love you Martin!!!

Also, thanks for dinner last night Mom. It was nice that I didn't have to think about finding something for dinner, and be able to have something home cooked and fabulous. I really have the best family out there! Now you should all come visit me today at work to see my new store and support me!!

Twilight midnight showing

Yes I'm one of those. It was SO much fun to go with my sisters! I really wish I hadn't heard or seen anything about the movie beforehand, so I won't go on and on about it. Of course it wasn't perfect, but I dreamt about it all night so it must have been good. The theater we went to had assigned seating which was so amazing. It meant we didn't have to go spend all day in line to get good seats.

Meh

That's how I've been feeling lately, just meh. It doesn't help that I'll be working 7 days this week. We're moving into our new store on Saturday and Sunday. I'm kind of excited because it will be new, but very stressed about it. This blog won't be very exciting for a while, I'm just in weird place right now emotionally, and can't shake it. Here's a rough recap of this weekend.
Friday, Martin was a sweetheart and got me an edible flower arrangement. I've wanted one of these forever and he got me one. It was all very yummy.

We went to the Weber State Hockey game Friday night. It was very intense and exciting. Sammi fell asleep right before the good parts and just let me rock her. She's so sweet.
Saturday was bridal shower day. Whitney's was from 11-1 and my cousin Camille's was from 1-3 so Mom and I went to both of them. It actually worked out well. Whitney and her friends are very funny we all laughed and laughed. I'm excited to have her as a sister-in-law.
Tonight we had family night at Mom's. Good food like always. We missed Gayla and Kayla. They had a Young Women's event at the church and weren't able to make it. After dinner we played bunco and spoons it was really fun. We had Cold Stone inspired dessert that Sara and Jason brought it was such a good idea and was delicious.
Happy Birthday on Wednesday Jason, if I don't blog before then. I love you my big brother!!

Election Day

A few months ago, Mom and I signed up to be poll workers at the election and yesterday was the big day. We had to be at the school at 6am and we couldn't leave until everything was cleaned up we ended up leaving about 9pm. It was a great experience. It was only busy for the first 45 minutes, and the rest of the day people just trickled in. I was surprised I thought there would be lines all day long. I saw a couple of my friends from high school who I haven't seen in ages.

The school we were at was where Seth and I went to elementary and I hadn't been back since then. It was cool to see the renovations they've done and see that a lot is still the same. It was nice to reminisce. We even got to eat school lunch. Seth came to visit and it was fun to reminisce with him too about his memories. It was just a great day. It was fun to be with Mom, talk to voters and be important, and feel apart of something great.

It was a little disappointing that when I got home the election had already been decided. The frustrating part is that my vote wasn't even in yet and it was over. Not that it could have changed anything, it just didn't matter either way. I watched Obama's speech and he does have a gift for speaking, but I'm hesitant, and it I would feel the same no matter who was elected. I just hope things change.
