Hunger Pains

Today was my cousin Becky's mission farewell. She is going to the Argentina Buenos Aires (North?) mission. She gave a really good talk in sacrament meeting. I'm very proud of her! When I was younger I always thought I would be the one out of my girl cousins to go on a mission, but Becky, and my other cousin Camille are the ones going. Isn't it crazy how life turns out sometimes. After Sacrament meeting we went back to my Aunt Ruth's house and had a luncheon. I got to hold my cousin Deanne's one-month-old baby boy for almost an hour. He slept the whole time. I'm tellin' ya, if all babies ever did was sleep I would jump on the bandwagon!! As soon as he started crying I handed him off to Gayla. He only cried for a minute, and I got to hold him again before I left. He was such a good baby, that it definitely made me half-way consider having a baby. After Keri has her baby and goes back to work again, my sister is going to watch the baby, so I told her that she needs to call me one day when he's being really fussy so I can see how it really is, and get it out of my system. I have to admit though seeing all these babies and people pregnant, is starting to make me pretty baby hungry, which is definitely a bad thing.

Babies are fun. But if you ever need a refresher on why it's good to wait, think back to your daycare job. Now times that by three.

24 hour daycare.

If that still sounds like fun, go for it!

No I think we'll wait. If I really have one, I can't always hand it off if it cries.

Hi Staci! It is fun to see that you have a blog! Glad yo see that you and Martin are doing well.Good luck with your job search!!
Waiting is definetly a good thing. Preparing yourself on what to expect and being okay to take on those things is a great before you go through with it. Yes, babies can scream for hours. With my first, Alona I remember that she screamed once for 7 hours straight before I got relief. But the joys of being a mother outweigh all of the unnerving moments that come with children. Breaks are sometimes far and few between, but with first babies, when there is only one child quite a few people are usually willing to help.
