...the gunpowder treason and plot
I know of no reason
the Gunpowder Treason
should ever be forgot.
Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes, t'was his intent
To blow up King and Parli'ment.
Three-score barrels of powder below
To prove old England's overthrow;
By God's providence he was catch'd
With a dark lantern and burning match.
Holloa boys, holloa boys, let the bells ring.
Holloa boys, holloa boys, God save the King!

It was Guy Fawkes/Bonfire Night last night in England. We tried to re-create it a little bit. I made (attempted to make) caramel apples with Sam. (I so do that tongue thing)
They turned out horrible.
I burnt my finger with the super heated caramel. It actually looked a lot worse later that day. Then it popped. It hurts so bad!
While I was at work Martin went out and bought a fire pit...
So we had our own little bonfire.
With fireworks.

I will have to read more. Sorry to say that I don't know much about that tradition. Sorry about your finger, ouch! Hope you feel better soon.
The apple's don't look horrible. I bet they still taste good. That is cool you celebrated with Martin. I'm sure he really appreciates carrying on some of his traditions. Looks like fun (other than the burn).
Well done. I am sure you had a wonderful time. We did in the UK. Lots of fireworks.
Haha, that's awesome. Those apples looked scrumptious despite you saying that they turned out so bad. Silly goose. That care of that finger.. >.<
Missing you like crazy!
