five-in-one mega post

I've been lazy lately. I just had so much to blog about and no motivation to do it. I've been making and adding to my list of things to blog about all week long, and now, it's just time. Ok now rewind to before last Thursday.

-hair disaster- So a while ago I dyed my hair dark right? I liked it at first, but that didn't last long. Especially once my roots started to show. I tried to dye my hair lighter hoping it would cover everything. Little did I know, you can't do that. It just made my roots more obvious. So the day we were suppose to leave for St. George I wanted to make my hair look better, and I tried to fix it myself... bad idea. I got a color stripper from the store after reading about it online and went to work. Well...it did strip the dark color out of my hair a little, but my lightened roots went this weird orangy type color.

I called Gayla and went over to my Mom's for help. I got to Mom's and just started sobbing. She laughed and said that she liked this look better than some of the other colors I had tried. I was telling her while sobbing that it was actually pretty funny because it was such a stupid thing, just hair, but it was my hair. Anyway Gayla and the kids came out and repeated told me that it wasn't that bad. I still hate it, but it's livable until I can get to a salon to get it fixed. Sara also called me a little later after she heard about my whole ordeal from Gayla and gave me a wonderful pep talk. Again, I am very thankful for my wonderful family.

-Waving to Seth- I went to go pick up Grandma and met Ruth, Melissa and Mom back at Mom's house and we were off. It was a little after 6:00 when we were about to pass Point of the Mountain by where Seth works. We called him and he had just gotten on the freeway. We were going to pass each other, so we just kept saying what we could see on his side and then we passed each other and waved and honked. Writing about it, it doesn't sound as cool as it really was, but we were excited about it.

-Picking up Becky- We stopped in Provo to pick up Becky. We got to see her cute basement apartment. I really loved it, and was very excited that she was coming. I hadn't seen her since her wedding, and was excited to spend time with her.

-Disney name that tune- We had to take two cars the moms in one car and the girls in the other. It was a long ride but very fun. With Melissa's IPOD we played Disney Name That Tune. She would put on a Disney song and we would have to guess what it was. It was actually really fun, and I did pretty well. Though I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I love Disney though!

-swimming-We got to St. George at about 10:30 pm and the swimming pool closed at 11, so we hurried an got everything in and went swimming. Any time we went swimming, I don't think any of us really swam, except maybe my Mom. We all just kind of stood in one spot jumping or whatever and talking the whole time.

-breakfast- The breakfasts were fabulous. Fresh fruit and yummy hot meals. I was impressed.
-shopping- Shopping was fun we all got really cute things. We went both Friday and Saturday.

-lunch at Paula's- The first day we of course went to lunch at Paula's for some yummy Mexican food. They did have the slushes so Grandma didn't have to cry into her water like last year.

-Deseret Book- After lunch we stopped at Deseret Book to get Grandma a book. On the doors to go in there was a sign saying that they were accepting Pre-orders for Breaking Dawn, the new Twilight book that was being released that night at midnight. I knew we had to do it. I told Ruth and she was just excited. Then we went back to the hotel for a nap before we were off the the first play at Tuacahn.
-Sound of Music- We got there a little early and couldn't resist the frozen lemonade. Well once we sat down in our seats, neither could the bees. They were crazy and there were so many of them. I gave up on the frozen lemonade until after it got dark and the bees went away. I could not believe how hot it was down there. It felt like it got hotter after it got dark. When we left it was 98 degrees. So crazy! The Sound of Music was amazing. The lead Maria, was played by the same actress that played Eliza in My Fair Lady last year that I loved so much. It was fun to see her again, and I just love her voice.

-back to Deseret Book!- The play got over about 11:30 so we got back to Deseret Book right before they opened the doors at midnight. We were out of there with our books within 15 minutes. The timing couldn't have been better. Of course I couldn't wait to start reading until morning. I read to page 100 before I could stop. Before we could start reading we did Satin Feet and made our feet satin-y soft.

-drove by grandma's old house- After shopping we went to Grandma's old neighborhood so she could visit a friend. Mom and I walked around the neighborhood reminiscing. Then we had lunch at the new Pizza Factory, then went back to the hotel where I read more in my book.

-Les Miserables!- Les Mis was amazing. The singing, acting all top notch. We got back after midnight and had to be up the next morning at 4 am so we could go be with Brock when he was ordained a Teacher in church. It was neat to all be there to support him. Then we went back to Gayla's for a yummy dinner.

I finished Breaking Dawn that night. It only took me two days to finish all 700 pages. Anyone else finished so I can talk about it? I'm dying!

-Kayla's day- Monday was Kayla's day. She wanted to go to Chili's for lunch and had their Molten's for dessert. mmm! If you haven't tried them, DO IT NOW lol. They are fantastic. (pictures included to tempt you.) Then we went to the mall and did some great window shopping. We also went to Shopko and tried on shoes. We tried on the ugliest pair, the tallest hills and the cutest pair. It was super fun.

-Allie's day- was Wednesday. I went and picked her up Tuesday night after I got off work. We went to Walmart and got a movie and some candy. Then the next morning we went school shopping. She did have to come to work with me which wasn't too fun for her, but she fell asleep behind the counter that I thought was adorable. I forgot my camera so I don't have any pictures.

It was so fun to go out with both of the girls I love them so much. Next is Nathan and Harli hopefully this week.
