Kevin and Whitney got married April 25, and I got two vacations in one. Mom, Ruth, Melissa and I left the Monday before and stayed in St. George for the night and then went on to California. We went to California Adventure right after we checked in to our hotel. We were so excited. Disneyland is one of my favorite places ever!
Mom's favorite ride is Soarin' Over California
It was so hot in California this day. It was over 90 degrees. Then for the rest of the week it was fairly cold and overcast. 
The moms wanted to watch the parade so Melissa and I went to the Tower of Terror and California Screaming (twice.) We had a lot of fun, I'm glad she was there with me. When we were coming out of Tower of Terror Sully from Monsters Inc. was there. There weren't many people around so we stopped and got pictures taken with him.
The next morning we headed to Disneyland. It was such a fantastic day. We rode all the rides we wanted to and the lines really weren't that bad.

After Disneyland we went to Huntington Beach. It was very cold, but we had to get our feet in.
Thursday morning Gayla was suppose to fly in to LAX, but her flight got cancelled. She got a later flight so we had some time to kill. Sara and Jason had come down for the wedding and were staying with Sara's uncle in Rodondo Beach, so we met them out there. I loved Rodondo Beach. It was so cool there.
Sara and Jason were going to the Aquarium, so they couldn't stay long but they told us to go check out the Pier. It was SO cool. Me trying to sneak up on a pelican on the pier.
They told us about Allie and Nathan getting pearls on the pier so we all wanted to do it too. We got to choose an oyster. Then the guy opened it and cut out the pearl it was really neat to see.
My pearl was the smallest, Ruth's was the biggest. Mom got a white pearl and the rest of us got black pearls. Then we had the guy but them into necklaces for us.
They told us about Allie and Nathan getting pearls on the pier so we all wanted to do it too. We got to choose an oyster. Then the guy opened it and cut out the pearl it was really neat to see.

Then we had lunch on the pier at a nice Mexican resturant. The view was the best part. The tall building in the background is where Sara's uncle lived. How cool would that be to live right on the beach?
After lunch it was time to go get Gayla from the airport. We were very glad she made it.
We wanted to take Gayla right to the beach so we went to Santa Monica beach. The sun came out and it was a beautiful day. We had so much fun when the waves would go out we would walk as far out as we could and then run away from the waves that would come back in. I love these action shots.

I had sooo much fun at California with you! I loved that week :) it was soo awesome! I'm so glad we were together too in disneyland and for the ride up! The ride back was pretty boring haha. Thanks Staci for all the fun in California! I love going on vacation with your family!
Thanks for posting all of the pictures and I am glad that you had such a good time on your vacation. It was also fun to get together yesterday at the park even though I wasn't feeling very well. One of the highlights for me was watching everyone play volleyball or at least try to.
