A Potty Training Two-Year-Old

Last night we got to sleep!!! Seth didn't....We let Seth keep the puppy at his house. Martin gets cranky without sleep, so it was good for him to be able to get a full nights sleep and not have to worry about Abbi. She kept Seth up all night but Seth called me at 6:30 and had me come over to his house. Abbi was ready to get up for the day. Ten minutes later I was running around outside with my puppy. She loves to follow me when I run with her outside it's the cutest thing because she's not 100% steady on her feet yet so it's more of a bounding bunny hop. She's doing really good with house training, I'm guessing it's because I take her outside all the time, so that's really nice. Oh Abbi had her first Vet appointment this morning. She weighs 6.2 pounds. She was very healthy everything is great. She got her shots and didn't even cry. Abbi was so well behaved, she slept most of the time in my arms and didn't even pay any attention to the HUGE black labs that tried to eat her. Everyone commented on how darn cute she is. I'm still at Seth's so I don't have access to pictures. She actually looks like the coonhound puppy, but cuter and TONS smaller. The face looks almost the same coloring-wise. Anyway, I've decided that having a puppy is like looking after a potty training two year old. You have to keep them entertained, make sure they don't bite and they stay out of things and you have to make sure they don't pee everywhere!! So that's what I have a biting-energetic-potty-training-two-year-old.

If you need potty training advice, let me know. :) We had our puppy trained before she was 5 months old. And we'd only had her a week. I can't take all the credit. Zoe is ridiculously quick to catch on. And Brian had his share of the midnight pee fests.

I'm happy for you and your brave puppy! What a big girl, not crying during shots!
