Camping

Alright it's time to post about our big family camping trip. It took a lot even to just decide on a weekend we could all go and a place that we could fit the trailers and we could use the four wheelers and take our dogs. After much deliberation we decided to go up Logan Canyon to Mantua. It was a great place. We were all together on the end of a loop. The kids rode their bikes around and around the whole weekend.

Here is the Holmes' trailer. Brockton slept in the tent on the front. It's very nice inside with a shower, bathroom and even a microwave.

The Peterson's trailer. Martin was very impressed with their trailer. He'd never seen a pop up tent trailer before. There was a lot of room inside which was nice because both nights we were up there most of the adults packed in there and played yatzee one night and ''Oh, Heck'' the second night. (oh heck lasted until 1:00am) It was so fun.
The humble tent. Martin decided that he wasn't going to sleep up there because of his bad back, so he left late at night and came back in the mornings before breakfast. It worked out well. Seth, the dogs and I shared the tent and there was just enough room.

We had the best food up there. The first night was 'hobo dinners.' My very favorite camping food of all time. I was so excited I documented the whole prep of the meal.

I forgot to take a picture of the final product. I was too busy eating it. Gayla took the time to take a picture though. She should be posting it.
Here are our cute dogs. They were surprisingly good up there. I thought they would bark a lot more than they did, but with a squirt bottle it was manageable. We even took them to the lake that was by the campground. The second day I took Abbi all the way into the water. She swam well, but hated it the whole time. Puck wouldn't go in past his legs, so he stayed up on shore.
Look how cute my hubby is. Everyone together now...awww.
Again...awww. Three generations.
We really had a great time up there we went on some four wheeling adventures. I even learned how to ride Brock's motorcross type motorcycle that was fun, not as hard as I had imagined. They had a cute little country store at the entrance of the campground that we got some candy from. We even saw our cousin there that lives in Mantua. It was nice to visit with them since we only see them twice a year.

The second day Amanda and her cute kids came up to visit. I loved having them there. Kylee was entertaining the whole time. SO adorable. Cannon was so fun too. He's such a content baby. Hardly cried, only when he was hungry. Kylee was cute with the dogs. She would yell at them when they barked.
Martin and Cannon were so cute together. Cannon loved Martin. Martin had him laughing SO hard. I wish I would have thought to get my camera out. It was the funniest thing.
All of us around talking the second day.
We had a great time, I'm sad that we only went once this year and have to wait so long to go again.
